We’re Looking for contributors!

Think you can write a decent review of that new bar that’s opened in Chortlon? Or maybe you think everyone needs to know about the latest release from The Japanese House? You might be pretty good at live music photography and dead in to art-house independent cinema at Home.  Well… if you’ve had any of these thoughts (or any of your own ideas) you’re in luck! We’re on the look out for new contributors!

We want to keep on the pulse of the hottest events coming up in Manchester and to continue to put out as much quality cultural content as possible… this means that we’re looking to grow our team of contributors all the time!

To get involved, just fill in the form below in as much detail as you can and if you’re successful we’ll get back to you!

P.s. We process applications every week, so don’t worry if you don’t hear from us straight away!

Do I need previous journalistic experience? Preferably you’ve written or taken photos for other publications (or your own blog) before, but this isn’t required. If you can string some words together and are genuinely interested in what we’re doing at MCR Live and in writing some good quality pieces we want to hear from you!

I’m not in Manchester – can I write for you? Yes, of course! Although the majority of our pieces are based around the scene in Manchester, we are looking for more general album reviews, festivals and cultural pieces.

Can I earn money if I write for you? Unfortunately, not at present. However it is a fantastic opportunity to build experience and network with people in the media industry.

How often do I need to write for MCR Live? Ideally, at least once a month. However, if you fancy writing a few times there is no limit!
