Let's Make This Precious
Let’s Make This Precious is a Manchester club night of indie, soul, off-kilter 60s pop and post-punk. Established in 2014, Let’s Make This Precious is now at Night & Day Café on the second Friday of every month – it began life at premier LMTP pre-spot Gullivers, and the infamous Star & Garter.
Joyous, eclectic and impassioned, Let’s Make This Precious has survived as a staple of Manchester’s alternative nightlife. Let’s Make This Precious is the club night with the thorn in its side that dances to all points between the Smiths and the Supremes, the Velvet Underground and the Velvelettes. The club has also hosted some stellar DJs over its history – Kevin Rowland from Dexys being a regular, not to mention a packed out New Year’s Eve special with the Orielles. The night is promoted and DJ’d by the music journalist Fergal Kinney.
